The Western New York Charter School Coalition (WNYCSC) was established in January of 2006, as a consortium of representatives of all the region's affiliate charter schools, providing an invaluable forum for the charter school movement to strengthen and grow. The WNY Charter School Coalition exists to provide our children and parents with a choice for quality education. We support our public charter school board members, administrators, and teachers in order for the Buffalo-Niagara region to encourage exceptional student achievement in a nurturing environment. Since its inception, the WNYCSC has held workshops on staff development and board training, established a network of school leaders, facilitated discussions between local charter schools and their authorizing agencies, spoken out on behalf of the charter school movement, and supported the formation of new charter schools in the region.
