About the WNYCSC
The Western New York Charter School Coalition (WNYCSC) was established in January of 2006, as a consortium of representatives of all the region's affiliate charter schools, providing an invaluable form for the charter school movement to strengthen and grow. The WNY Charter School Coalition exists to provide out children and parents with a choice for quality education. We support out public charter school board members, administrators and teachers in order for the Buffalo-Niagara region to have exceptional student achievement and nurturing.
Since its inception, the WNYCSC has held workshops on staff development and board training, established a network of school leaders, facilitated discussions between local charter schools and their authorizing agencies, spoken out on behalf of the charter school movement, and supported the formation of new charter schools in the region.
Goals
The Coalition develops and implements programs and training to enhance student's instruction and achievement.
The Coalition identifies resources and creates a general, update directory from the public and private sectors to support outreach and networking.
The Coalition assists affiliate schools with promotion, the engagement of parents, sharing of the best practices, and government affairs initiatives.
